My wife Donna and I live in beautiful Surprise Arizona! We both love it here and are proud to call Marley Park home. We are the proud grandparents of 13 precious grandkids, 14 including our sweet Tom Douglas who passed away in 2019. In our family, Donna and I are known as
"Jappa & Mamma D".

I've been a coffee roaster for over 15 years, roasting coffee for friends and family as a fun hobby. If you're a coffee lover, you know there's nothing better than freshly roasted coffee! There is simply no comparison between a fresh cup of home roasted coffee and store- bought grounds.

After recently having had a serious health scare followed by open-heart surgery, I've spent a lot of time at home and to pass the time, I started roasting coffee almost every day.

After a lot of prayer and contemplation, I have decided to “step out of the boat” and start a home business doing what I love!

WHY CUSTOM ROAST
DON'T SETTLE FOR STORE-BOUGHT COFFEE
I use a traditional drum roasting technique that heats the beans while they are rotated in a small drum. This provides an even and gentle roast that develops the coffee's aromas particularly well because of the long roasting period combined with the high heat. The heat reduces acidity and makes the coffee smooth and more digestible. During this process I regularly takes samples to check the degree of roasting until the perfectly roasted bean is achieved.

I source coffee beans from around the world. These beans are from the best known areas for growing smooth, rich coffee beans that are strong in aroma and taste when roasted to perfection. I use a variety of roasting techniques to bring out the flavor of these incredible beans and I enjoy experimenting with various roasting times and temperatures to bring out the best flavor for a rich, smooth cup of fresh roasted coffee.
